In Mozambique, we have two Nurish Houses that are aimed at early childhood and pregnant women. Our goal is to promote the integral development of these children who suffer from chronic and acute malnutrition. Malnutrition during this period of life impacts the child’s brain development, resulting in consequences throughout their lives. In our Nutri Houses, children and pregnant women receive guidance and care through nutritional supplements, monitoring visits and health education.
In Brazil and Mozambique, CECORE offer different after-school activities for children and adolescents. These activities include tutoring, sports, English lessons and instrument lessons. Children are also monitored in their academic progress and in their family relationships. At the Brazilian unit in Belo Horizonte, we also offer psychological and psychopedagogical support when necessary. And we don’t forget their families, who also benefit, so that the reality of these children is truly transformed.
Our Preschool Education Program units, linked to JMM, serve children between the ages of 4 and 6. We have three units of this program in Mozambique and South Africa. With a curriculum oriented towards Christian values, children learn the basics necessary to enter the education system of each country. In addition, they learn the official language widely used official language and receive age-appropriate food.
